Kendra Barnes, CIC, CRIS - Norfolk, NE
Kendra joined Agri-City in April 2014 as a commercial and personal lines agent. Kendra is a native of the Sandhills South of Atkinson where her parents operate a cow/calf ranch. She moved to Norfolk in 2000 to attend Northeast Community College where she graduated with an Associates of Arts Degree in Business Administration. She then received her Bachelor of Science degree from Bellevue University in Human Resource Management. She began a career in the insurance industry to aid businesses with their property, casualty, business auto, work comp, and employee benefits needs while drawing from her past education and experiences.
She earned her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2016 after 100 hours of classroom instruction and essay tests on numerous insurance products but focusing on commercial clients. She also received her Construction Risk Insurance Specialist designation which focuses on the special insurance related risks that contractors face.
Kendra has been active in many groups, activities, and committees in the community including the Chamber of Commerce, the Norfolk Area Human Resource Association, Norfolk Area Home Builders Association, Norfolk Housing Agency board, United Way, Safe Communities Coalition, as well as helping at school and church.
In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoys spending time outside riding horses and working on her hobby farm and her parents ranch alongside her two children Bailey and Caden.
